Reason is an important process in the Beanworld. It seems that all of the Beans can reason, but Professor Garbanzo is especially good at it.
A lot of the plot in Beanworld stories centers around how the Beans figuring out their world. Many stories involve trying to figure out why things happen the way they do, and how they can best be utilized to improve the lives of the Beans. The process that Proffy uses to figure out these phenomena resembles the scientific method in our world.
